The Nursing Clinical/Lab Instructor provides clinical and lab instruction on campus or affiliated medical facilities in compliance with program policies of Oklahoma City Community College. The instructor attends orientation and adjunct meetings each semester, plans, teaches, and grades assignments, and collaborates with faculty to develop scenarios and learning activities. The role involves maintaining positive relationships within the Division of Health Professions and is a safety‑sensitive position requiring mandatory pre‑employment and random drug testing.

• Deliver clinical and lab instruction based on teaching assignments.
• Plan, teach, and grade clinical and lab assignments, including grading outside the lab or clinical setting.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and feedback to students.
• Maintain and preserve equipment and instructional materials.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop scenarios and learning activities, emphasizing inter‑professional approaches.
• Assist in lab and clinical preparation before scheduled teaching sessions.
• Supervise student practice in labs/clinicals as scheduled.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Program Director, Associate Nursing Program Director, or Dean.
• Adhere to safety and health procedures, complete quarterly safety training, and participate in emergency drills.

• Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
• At least two years of full‑time equivalent practice as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting.
• Evidence of current practice in the teaching assignment area.
• Self‑starter with initiative, capable of working independently and coordinating with colleagues.
• Flexible teaching style to accommodate diverse learning styles.

• Maintain Healthcare Provider CPR training from the American Heart Association every two years.
• Complete Nursing Program orientation and college adjunct night.
• Complete any required trainings specific to a clinical site.
• Complete Safe College trainings.

Day, evening, or weekend shifts as required by the assignment; may include campus and/or online sessions.

The role frequently involves standing, walking, and moving around classroom and lab/clinical areas, occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs, operating a computer and other office equipment, and monitoring visual and tactile details of equipment. Work occurs both indoors and outdoors.
