Job Description

At Bio Life, we know flexibility matters—especially for those balancing multiple commitments. That’s why we’re dedicated to creating meaningful part-time opportunities for our team.

This role is truly part-time, with most shifts lasting 4 to 6 hours per day, 3 or more days per week—designed to fit your life.

  • We will confirm availability, along with shift days and times, early in the interview process.
  • Team members will be informed in advance of any schedule changes.
  • Our patients depend on the plasma we collect, so reliability during scheduled hours is greatly valued.
  • These part-time roles are designed with the understanding that flexibility on both sides is important.

Whether someone is looking for extra income, valuable experience, or a schedule that fits a busy life—Bio Life welcomes part-time team members just like you.

About the role

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a plasma donor screener and phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

How you will contribute
  • Answer phones, greet and focus on donors, ensuring safety.
  • Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
  • Use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift to 5 lb and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lb, rarely 50 lb.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Must wear gloves for ~90% of tasks due to exposure to blood borne pathogens (risk level
    1).
  • One or more years minimum experience in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.

Every day at Takeda, we feel good knowing that what we do helps improve the lives of patients with rare diseases. We offer a purpose you can believe in, a team you can count on, opportunities for career growth, and a comprehensive benefits program to include retirement benefits, medical/dental, family leave, disability insurance and more, all in a fast‑paced, friendly environment.
