ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Partner (AUA) performs a variety of patient care duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They actively participate in administering patient care and ensure a safe and comforting environment. They must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians, and all levels of staff effectively. They assist clinical team members by performing a variety of patient care tasks and comfort measures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
EssentialFunctions
- Actively participate in administering patient care and ensure a safe and comforting environment
- Respond to patients’ needs in a timely manner
- Assist patients with ADLs, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs
- Demonstrate ability to perform 12‑lead EKG
Education: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Completion of CNA Program, Medical Assistant Program, PCA or similar program preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment.
Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
Patient Care PartnerEducation: High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred. Completion of AUA Program.
Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment. Completion of AUA Certification Program with successful completion of test and licensed with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
