American Traveler is seeking a chemo-certified RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Oncology Infusion Clinic (Main Infusion Center) of a hospital setting
- Adult oncology patient population receiving chemotherapy and infusion therapies
- Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
- Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Provides chemotherapy administration and patient education on treatment side effects and care plans
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and communicates changes in physician orders
- Coordinates patient follow-up care, including referrals and post-visit phone triage
- Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians and medical personnel
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Candidates who previously worked with this facility may extend a contract only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
- Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines, and candidates must be prepared to complete onboarding requirements promptly
