Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position requiring at least one year of NICU experience, active RN licensure, and night shift availability.

• Active RN license — Oklahoma state license or current multistate compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP (both from American Heart Association only)
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

• Work setting is a hospital-based Neonatal ICU (NICU)
• Provides nursing care to neonatal patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and documenting patient responses to nursing interventions
• Interacts with patients and families to explain care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum of 26 weeks (one extension) on contract
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer
