American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Medicine Specialty position requiring Med/Surg and Step Down experience with floating to any hospital area.

• Hospital-based Medicine Specialty unit assignment (3rd Floor Overflow)
• Patient population includes a variety of medical cases ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Med/Surg and Step Down experience required for this role
• May be floated to any area of the hospital

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, including background checks and drug screening completed promptly after offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance requirements
