American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of IR experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.
Details- Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
- Provides nursing care for Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR patients, with experience in at least two of these areas preferred
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 13-week assignment length
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
- ACLS certification from AHA required within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a specialized care team
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
- Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Oversees treatment provided by technicians and other support staff, delegating tasks as needed
- Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Compliance documentation, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
- Travelers must be able to start at least 4 weeks from time of offer
- Extensions with this facility are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
