Mercy, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking an OKC professional to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will support high-quality patient care across multiple specialties, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to innovative care solutions that enhance community health. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice, including assessments, monitoring, and clinical interventions.
- Accurately document patient encounters, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Administer medications and therapies as permitted by licensure and organizational policy, monitoring for effectiveness and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to support recovery and long-term health.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Participate in team huddles, case reviews, and quality-improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
- Support care transitions, including discharge planning and coordination with community resources when appropriate.
- Maintain professional development through training, in-services, and ongoing education aligned with Mercy's expectations.
