Mercy is seeking a Clinical Operations Supervisor to lead daily clinical workflows within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This role oversees nursing and support staff, optimizes patient flow, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and drives quality and safety initiatives. The supervisor monitors clinical performance metrics, coordinates staffing and scheduling, supports electronic health record (EHR) utilization, and collaborates with physicians and leadership to enhance patient experience.

You will mentor teams, assist with training and onboarding, and champion process improvements aligned with Mercy's mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations and patient flow within assigned units or clinics
  • Supervise, schedule, and coach nursing and clinical support staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
  • Monitor quality, patient experience, and performance metrics, implementing improvements
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and leaders to optimize care delivery
  • Support effective use of EHR and clinical information systems
  • Lead staff onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development
  • Participate in budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory management
  • Resolve escalated patient and family concerns professionally
  • Promote Mercy's culture of compassion, diversity, and continuous improvement
