American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night-shift travel contract requiring trauma experience, OK or compact RN licensure, and ACLS certification.

• Provides nursing care in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting
• Cares for patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Trauma experience and travel required

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of ICU patients
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and monitors physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines for onboarding, background checks, and drug screening
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance requirements
• Returning travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
