Role Overview

• Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients; documents responses to nursing interventions and treatments
• Assists physicians with exams, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatment
• Obtains and monitors physiological data; intervenes as needed
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families through discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff; makes referrals as needed

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration — Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
