American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D and 2 years of travel nursing experience.
Details- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years L&D nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years travel nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of L&D patients
- Document patient responses to interventions and treatments, noting all changes in physician orders
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed for patient safety
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
- Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines for onboarding, including background checks and drug screens
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer due to compliance requirements
- Extensions limited to one renewal for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
