American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift hospital role requiring at least 2 years of L&D and 2 years of travel experience.
Details- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Assignment length of 13 weeks
- Provides nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments, noting changes in physician orders
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced, with no flexibility on start dates once booked
- Onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon engagement
- Returning travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
