Role Overview
Provides direct nursing care following established policies and protocols, focusing on medical-surgical practices to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements individualized care plans using the nursing process, assesses physical, social, cultural, and emotional factors affecting health, and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams for holistic care.
Utilizes leadership and communication skills to coordinate care, educate patients and families, and foster a positive work environment. Applies evidence-based practices to meet age-specific and clinical needs, ensuring safe, compassionate, and ethical care. May perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program; no prior experience required. Must hold valid RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification for the respective state.
Physical & Professional RequirementsConstant speech, standing, walking, frequent lifting, and visual and auditory acuity. Occasional patient lifting and movement, with driving and other physical activities as needed.
