American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit position requiring OK or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Ortho/Trauma Unit within a hospital setting
• Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
• Charge experience preferred

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact/eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

• Manages an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and treatments
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon booking
