American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nephrology Med/Surg night shift role requiring dialysis site care knowledge and at least one year of experience.

• Provide nursing care in a hospital Medicine/Nephrology unit
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• Requires familiarity with central line care and management, foley care and management, and end of life care
• Must understand proper dialysis site care, including avoiding HD catheter or fistula access for blood draws
• Charge experience is a plus

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Med/Surg and stepdown experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care ranging from simple to complex cases
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and monitor physiological data, intervening as needed
• Administer medications and initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Extensions limited to one renewal up to a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Strict adherence to credentialing and compliance deadlines is required; no start date pushes allowed
