American Traveler is hiring an RN for Advanced Endoscopy requiring 1 year of endoscopy experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.
Details- Advanced Endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
- Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy experience required; advanced/interventional endoscopy experience preferred
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents nursing interventions and treatment responses
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Obtains and monitors patient physiological data and intervenes as necessary
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Facility enforces strict credentialing and compliance deadlines with no flexibility for start date changes
- 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
