American Traveler is hiring a RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

• Ortho/Trauma Unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Charge experience preferred
• Floating and delegation of tasks to support staff may be required

• Active Oklahoma or multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Provide direct nursing care to a varied patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborate with physicians on examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Communicate care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning travelers may extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6 month separation before reapplying
• Strict adherence to compliance and credentialing deadlines is required, with no flexibility for start date delays
