Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care
Oklahoma City, OK | Locum Tenens | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Rhino Medical is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens opportunity in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, providing outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care coverage.
The initial assignment runs October 14–November 6, with a consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. Additional coverage may become available beyond November 6 in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NP seeking predictable weekday hours and hands-on outpatient practice treating occupational injuries, performing physical examinations, and evaluating walk-in urgent care patients.
Schedule
- October 14–November 6
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Outpatient clinic
- Potential for additional coverage beyond November 6
- Future shifts may be available in Oklahoma City and Tulsa
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat work-related injuries
- Evaluate and treat walk-in urgent care patients
- Perform pre-placement physical examinations
- Perform DOT physicals
- Perform public safety and surveillance examinations
- Complete appropriate in-office procedures
- Provide medical guidance related to occupational injuries and employee health
- Communicate effectively with patients and employers
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly
Practice Environment
- Outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care
- Combination of scheduled and walk-in patients
- Occupational health services for private employers and governmental agencies
- Consistent weekday clinical schedule
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner
- Active Oklahoma license
- DOT certification required within 2 weeks of starting if not already certified
- Comfortable treating occupational injuries and walk-in urgent care patients
- Comfortable performing routine outpatient procedures and occupational physicals
