OU Health's Postpartum Newborn Unit provides 36 postpartum and 36+ newborn beds, with 24- to 96-hour stays. RNs deliver education and lactation support for all patients, maintaining high-quality care in a hospital setting.
The RN I position works under general supervision, advancing from novice to competent, documenting responses, administering medications, starting IVs, coordinating care, and collaborating with physicians, patients, and families.
