American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Medical RN with level 1 trauma experience and PALS certification for a hospital position caring for patients from newborn to 18 years.

• Pediatric Medical unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for a wide range of ages from newborn through 18 years across a variety of diagnoses
• No specific patient population focus, so broad experience including respiratory and GI conditions is preferred
• Some patients have trachs and require home ventilator care
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours)

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
• BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Up to 1 year of Level I trauma experience required
• Experience with tracheostomy and home ventilator patients required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Provides nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric patients ranging from simple to complex health needs
• Documents patient responses to interventions and communicates changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Coordinates care plans with patients and families through discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning workers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks and require a 6-month separation before reapplying
