American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg/Nephrology RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring Med/Surg and stepdown experience plus a compact or OK RN license.

• Medicine/Nephrology unit in a hospital setting
• Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Care for patients with a range of conditions from simple to complex, including nephrology and dialysis patients

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Med/Surg and stepdown experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Experience with central line care and management, foley care and management, and end-of-life care
• Knowledge of proper dialysis site care, including avoiding improper use of HD catheters or fistula access for blood draws
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

• Charge experience is a strong plus
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and physician order changes
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
• 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
