RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the RN Surgical Specialty provides nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. The role involves assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to interventions, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data. The RN interacts with patients and families to share care plans, informs them of hospital procedures, and makes referrals as needed.
Delegation of tasks to support staff is also part of the role.
Required Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
