SWCA's Arlington, TX office offers a unique work environment and a diversified client base, including generation/renewables, transportation, water infrastructure, oil and gas, and land development.
Your role will be to assist the crew chiefs and field directors on a variety of projects throughout Texas, Oklahoma, or adjacent states. (HR Title =

). This is a temporary, hourly, non-exempt position. Below are some more details associated with the job.
- Ability to work variable fieldwork schedules, including 6 on /1 off and 10 on /4 off
- Per diem, housing, and company vehicles provided.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided for work-related use of personal vehicles.

- Conduct archaeological fieldwork, including monitoring, pedestrian and shovel test survey, evaluation testing, and data recovery.
- Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including the collection of GPS data using Trimble units.
- Adhere to the safety program and looks out for the safety of others, promptly communicating and mitigating safety hazards.
- A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, methodology, and monitoring
- Survey 123 or ArcGIS Collector software experience
- An accredited Field School Certification
Additional Information:
- Current valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record screening
- Ability to travel to a location, walk long distances, and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather (including extreme heat and humidity), and rugged terrain
- Ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to operate full size truck
- Ability to work variable fieldwork schedules, including 6 on /1 off and 10 on /4 off
