Who we are:

Moleculera Biosciences® is a precision medicine company dedicated to improving the lives of patients impacted by infection-induced autoimmune diseases affecting the brain. We provide next-generation antibody testing which detects whether an autoimmune reaction is causing neurologic or psychiatric symptoms. Our Autoimmune Brain Panel™ is the first of its kind and it’s only provided at our laboratory.

As a regular part-time employee working approximately 24 hours per week, you will work a flexible schedule Tuesday – Friday with hours sometime between 8 am – 4 pm, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Upon your start date, you will begin accruing eight (8) days of paid vacation, twelve (12) sick days, and up to two (2) personal days per year. You can also join us for some of our community outreach activities!

What you will do:

You will play a vital role in the laboratory by receiving and preparing specimens for processing. You will get to use your excellent customer service and communication skills to correspond and follow up with clinicians, patients, and collection sites to obtain missing information.

Some other essential functions:
  • Aliquots specimens and retrieves stored specimens in accordance with established laboratory procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and specimen integrity.
  • Maintains complete, accurate, and organized laboratory logs and documentation in compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with maintaining laboratory inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls professionally, actively listens to understand caller needs, provides accurate information, and appropriately routes or relays calls to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by stocking supplies and performing routine housekeeping responsibilities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and initiative by assisting with departmental projects and additional responsibilities as assigned to support laboratory and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborates effectively with laboratory personnel and cross-functional teams, fostering a respectful, supportive, and cohesive work environment focused on achieving shared goals.
  • Participates in continuous learning by completing required training, remaining current on laboratory procedures, and applying new knowledge to improve individual and team performance.
  • Demonstrates accountability by consistently performing assigned responsibilities with integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and ownership of outcomes while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Prepares and presents weekly reports to the Laboratory Manager, communicating information clearly, accurately, and professionally.
  • About you:
    • You have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of data entry experience and/or laboratory experience.

    • You are a compassionate individual who enjoys helping others.

    • You are a very detailed oriented person who can perform accurate and efficient data entry.

    • You have excellent customer service and communication skills.

    • You enjoy learning and want growth opportunities.

    • You like to take initiative to complete tasks independently, recognize new opportunities, and make suggestions for improvement.
