The Quality Assurance Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's quality management system. This includes collaborating with the Quality team, ensuring all products and processes meet required customer, industry, and internal quality standards. The manager's key objective is to drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance with certifications such as NADCAP
, AS9100, and ISO
9001

, and ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:
  • Strategic Quality Planning: Develop, implement, and manage strategic quality plans and procedures that align with the company's goals and customer specifications.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain and oversee compliance with all quality certifications, including NADCAP and AS9100/ISO
    9001. Act as the primary contact during audits, ensuring all required documentation and processes are in place.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and analyze quality issues and trends. Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement in processes and product quality.
  • Customer and Supplier Interface: Serve as the main point of contact for all quality-related matters with customers and suppliers. Address and resolve customer feedback and complaints, and ensure suppliers adhere to quality standards.
  • System Administration: Manage the quality management system, including documentation, record-keeping, and the control of non-conforming products.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department, ensuring proper allocation of resources to meet production and quality deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in an FAA Repair Station and knowledge of thermal spray, grinding, and plating preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • Three to five years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience a plus.
  • Experience in AS9100 and NADCAP required
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Quality Management Expertise:
    In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and standards, especially NADCAP, AS9100, and ISO
    9001.
  • Leadership & Supervision:
    Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical

    Skills:

    Excellent ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex quality issues using data and systematic methods.
  • Communication:
    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate quality standards and issues to a wide range of audiences, from the shop floor to executive leadership and customers.
  • Organizational

    Skills:

    Superior organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex documentation, audits, and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ethical Practice:
    Upholds the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in all quality decisions.
  • Auditor Training:
    Certification or training to conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with required standards.
  • Metallurgical and Materials Science:
    Training on the properties of materials and processes relevant to the company's products to better understand and troubleshoot quality issues.
  • Quality Software Proficiency:
    Advanced training in quality management software (QMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
