Position Introduction:
OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma's only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, and one of only 74 NCI-Designated Cancer Centers in the United States. This highly competitive accreditation reflects excellence in cancer research and clinical care and helps ensure that patients and communities have access to advanced cancer treatment options, prevention research, and community-focused cancer programs.
Launch your research career. Make an impact on health behavior and cancer prevention.
The Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC) at Stephenson Cancer Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Assistant to support multiple ongoing research studies focused on health behavior change, cancer prevention, and cancer screening. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in public health, behavioral science, psychology, health equity, or clinical research and offers meaningful hands‑on experience with federally funded and pilot randomized controlled trials.

Why This Role Matters
HPRC's research directly addresses behaviors that significantly impact cancer risk and overall health, including tobacco use, cancer screening, and other health behaviors. As a Staff Research Assistant, you will help support participant‑facing research activities, collect high‑quality data, and contribute to studies that inform real‑world health interventions and promote health equity.
