Postdoctoral Fellow – DNA Damage Response and Cancer Biology
The Luong Lab in the Department of Oncology Science at the NCI-designated OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join an NIH-funded research program investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA damage response, genome stability, and cancer therapeutic response. Our lab combines molecular and cellular biology, chemical biology, quantitative proteomics, CRISPR genome editing, advanced fluorescence imaging, and cancer models to uncover fundamental mechanisms of genome maintenance and identify novel therapeutic targets.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Genetics, or a related field who have a strong background in DNA damage response, genome stability, chromatin biology, or related areas
. Experience in molecular and cellular biology is required, while expertise in chromatin-based assays, fluorescence microscopy, genome editing, proteomics, or cancer models is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants with an outstanding publication record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to conduct independent research while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
Recent Ph.D. graduates and candidates from varied scientific backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The Luong Lab offers a friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and multidisciplinary collaborations at the OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. We are eager to fill this position and welcome applications promptly.
