Kitchen Shift Lead

Looking for a full-time Kitchen Shift Lead to join our team. We are a locally owned, fast casual counter service concept and we truly strive to create a happy and healthy space for all our employees!

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, reliable, and hard-working. Must be available for both day and night shifts, Monday thru Saturday. We are closed Sunday.

Our Kitchen Shift Lead will supervise and lead shifts and/or work areas to ensure the restaurant meets operational goals and mentors team members to ensure high quality products and customer service standards.

Duties:

• Actively participate in day-to-day activities in a high volume, fast paced restaurant.
• Assist in training and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, set the tone for a shift and act as a role model for our team.
• Offer prompt problem resolution for guest and employee issues/concerns during shift.
• Comply with and enforce all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Assist in food preparation and cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Perform all station duties, including open/close procedures.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and shift coverage as needed.
• Control labor and food cost.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies.

Qualifications:

• 1 year in a lead role of a restaurant preferred.
• Experience running a high volume restaurant shift without supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Outgoing and engaging personality with a positive attitude.
• Skilled in problem solving, multi-tasking, decision making, leadership, time-management, customer service and conflict-resolution.
• Flexible work availability.
• Able to remain calm in a high volume, fast paced environment, be organized and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
