Join the Iron Star BBQ Team. Located in the heart of Oklahoma City, Iron Star Urban BBQ has been serving up elevated comfort food with true smokehouse flavor since 2002. We're known for our warm, welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and scratch-made Southern classics. We are currently hiring for hosts and servers. Servers:

As a server, you're the heartbeat of the dining room. We're looking for someone who is confident, knowledgeable, and committed to hospitality.

Your role is to guide guests through their experience - from warm greetings to menu suggestions to ensuring every bite and sip is just right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide gracious and timely service
• Have strong knowledge of the menu, daily features, and drink offerings
• Take accurate orders and enter them efficiently into the POS
• Assist guests with dietary needs or questions
• Ensure tables are well-maintained throughout the meal
• Handle payment transactions

Qualifications:

• Must be 21+
• Prior serving experience preferred
• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 25 lbs
• Must possess strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
• A passion for EXTREME HOSPITALITY.

Hosts

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes and keep the flow of restaurant service smooth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Answer phone professionally and according to restaurant standards.
• Know restaurant standards, table numbers, wait sections, menu, specials, and be able to answer any questions customers may have effectively.
• Take reservations and enter on Resy according to restaurant standards. Prompt customer for additional information and email whenever possible.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Be able to re-work existing reservations and waiter sections to accommodate walk-ins and unexpected last minute reservations. Inform Management and staff of changes.
• Relay messages to servers, bus and manager as needed, especially guest notes from Resy.
• Help with bussing and drink service if time warrants.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
• A passion for EXTREME HOSPITALITY.
