Overview

$12.00 to $15.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outdoors or retrieve products in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance, with details provided during the interview process.
