Responsibilities
- Plan and Prioritize:
Review schedule for store visits and prioritize key accounts and activities based on sales goals and promotional priorities. - Execute In-Store Visits:
Travel to assigned Best Buy (and potentially other retail) locations within the territory, engaging directly with customers on the sales floor, providing product recommendations, and utilizing the Best Buy POS system to facilitate sales. - Build Relationships & Train Staff:
Connect with store management and sales associates to build rapport, provide product training on the latest Intel technologies, and address any questions or concerns. - Drive engagement with the Intel Retail Edge program, encouraging associate registrations and training completions.
- Merchandising & On-Site Assessment:
Evaluate product displays, ensuring they are clean, functional, and adhere to brand standards. - Assess on-site needs for marketing materials and promotional collateral and identify opportunities to improve product visibility and presentation.
- Reporting & Communication:
Accurately document store visit activities, sales data, customer feedback, and any relevant observations. Communicate key insights and recommendations to the Regional Manager and other relevant stakeholders. - Administrative Tasks & Planning:
Dedicated time to administrative tasks such as scheduling future store visits, attending meetings/conference calls, responding to emails, and planning upcoming events or product launches.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 6+ months of previous retail selling experience in consumer electronics or other technical/wireless products preferred
- 6+ months of successful training experience, preferably within direct marketing/retail environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stage a consultative selling process that overcomes objections and connects with customer needs
- Strong analytical skills and customer service orientation
- Strong multi-tasking skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to perform independently in an unstructured work environment
- Travel within 70 miles of the Ideal Market Zip Code with occasional travel to other markets
- Must have and maintain reliable transportation and state-required minimum liability automobile insurance coverage.
