This position is a seasonal role with an anticipated start date, end date and number of hours per week/month as outlined below. Employment is tied to seasonal business demands and is not guaranteed beyond the seasonal period. While there may be opportunities for other or intermittent hours outside of the stated period, any such hours are contingent upon business needs, workload, and operational requirements and do not change the seasonal nature of the position.
This position does not carry a guarantee of minimum hours or continued employment beyond the seasonal term. This will be a temporary, part-time and hourly position for employment related to the 2026 Oklahoma State Fair. No other benefits, except those required by law, apply. Applications will continue to be accepted until position has been filled.
- Provide assistance to vendors as a member of the Audit Team.
- Observe vendors during move-in, duration of the Fair, and move-out to ensure rules and regulations are being followed.
- Enforce general rules and regulations.
- Answer the Help Desk phone.
- Data entry and filing.
- Assist building hosts with the opening and closing of buildings.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must attend a 2-hour orientation prior to the Fair. (Date and Time will be emailed when hired.)
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solving skills and organization skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Fully commit to work the entire duration of the 2026 Oklahoma State Fair, September 17-27.
- Have access to daily, reliable transportation.
- Be positive, enthusiastic and cooperative.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, calm demeanor in all situations.
- Be flexible as job instructions may change from time to time.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully in English (speak, read, write).
- Maintain a high standard of appearance and grooming (i.e., clean, wrinkle free clothing, proper uniform/attire, close attention to personal hygiene).
- Must have the ability to work in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
- Extended hours, nights and weekends may be required.
- Frequent or continual movement covering long distances with ease and normal physical mobility.
- Work indoors and outdoors in potentially inclement/severe weather conditions.
- Regularly lift, carry, and put away items weighing up to 40 lbs. unassisted, and occasionally lift and carry heavier items and/or assist others in lifting heavier objects, as job demands.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Other prolonged and/or intermittent physical exertions may be required including, but not limited to, seeing, hearing, lifting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas.
- Identification badges will be provided for clocking in and out.
- Paychecks will be MAILED post-Fair.
