Position
Sales & Design Consultant
Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer service
- Build strong client relationships and follow up with all new and existing clients
- Schedule appointments to have client design consultations within the showroom or at their home or workplace
- Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
- Gather space/area measurements, calculate the number of materials needed, create and present project proposals, and collect payments
- Utilize social media platforms to build network
- Manage time between the showroom and prospecting for new business
- Sell flooring and floor care products
- Answer customer questions
- Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
- Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
- Maintain a clean and neat showroom by keeping samples, displays, and common areas neat, current, and clean
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven work experience in retail sales, flooring sales, interior design, furniture sales, or similar role
- College degree a plus, but not required
- Basic computer, social media, and math skills
- Proper phone etiquette and positive attitude
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Ability to utilize various forms of communication to follow up with vendors and clients
- Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Strong personal and professional judgement
- Ability to respond quickly to client’s needs and wants
- Self‑starter
- Desire to grow a business
- Excellent time‑management skills and detail‑oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
- Microsoft Office or Google Workspace a plus
- Flexible work hours to include Saturdays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Paid training:
We invest in you from day one - Base Salary: $40,000 annually
- Earning potential of $80,000 or greater annually with commissions, growth, and advancement opportunities
- Full time: 40 hours per week with a 5‑day work week (Monday‑Saturday)
