New Home Consultant

Ideal Homes has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a New Home Consultant. This role is ideal for driven sales professionals who will sell new homes for a leading Oklahoma home builder.

No real‑estate license or prior experience selling new homes is required.

• Facilitate the sale of new homes by presenting the 4:2 presentation, demonstrating the model home, and touring homes for sale.

• Maintain a high degree of positive enthusiasm in all business dealings.
• Show respect in dress, manners, and conduct.
• Display high achievement drive and initiative.
• Demonstrate gratitude consistently.

• Realtor Prospecting
  • Maintain a 50% cross‑sale ratio.
  • Reach 10 realtors per workday.
  • Have one face‑to‑face realtor encounter per week.
  • Attend at least one scheduled realtor event per month.
• Customer Prospecting
  • Follow Lasso prescribed follow‑up and zero out Lasso activities daily.
  • Reach 10 potential buyers daily.
  • Provide feedback on all appointments to online sales counselors and sales manager.
• Follow the 4:2 planned presentation and demonstrate homes.
• Ensure finished homes are clean and ready for presentation (yards, flowerbeds, mowing, watering).
• Represent the company and its products accurately to the public.
• Prepare complete and accurate contract files.
• Other responsibilities explained at training.
• Community appearance:
  Identify items to address and present them to the appropriate contact person.
• Model Home & Field Home appearance
  • Report interior and exterior maintenance items to the appropriate person or department.
  • Report landscape maintenance items to Facilities Manager.
• Obtain and maintain automobile insurance with a minimum liability limit of 100/300/100; policy must name Ideal Homes of Norman, LP as an additional interest.

• Good communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Responsible for weekly calls to customers in process.
• Attend all pre‑construction meetings with the builder.
• A college degree or prior sales experience is preferred.

• Expected hours:
  Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Required to leave the model home to provide tours of other homes or communities, inspect homes, and other sales related duties.
• New Home Consultants have two scheduled days off weekly.

Exempt.

The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stand and walk, and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.

The work environment is generally moderate in noise level, primarily in the office and model home, with occasional outdoor work at new home construction sites.
