Position OverviewThe Market Brand Specialist - Appliances is a dynamic, customer-focused sales professional responsible for growing Mill Creek's appliance business through our Design Center showroom and throughout the local builder and design community.
This position will focus on developing and supporting relationships with builders, designers, architects, remodelers, helping customers select the right appliance packages for their projects while providing exceptional service from initial consultation through delivery.
The Market Brand Specialist will work closely with Mill Creek's Outside Sales Team, showroom team, vendors, and project partners to identify new opportunities, prepare appliance packages and quotes, follow up on leads, and help ensure a seamless customer experience.
This is not strictly a showroom sales position. The successful candidate will actively build relationships in the market by visiting builders, designers, job sites, and industry partners to generate new appliance business and strengthen existing accounts.
As an ambassador for Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company, this individual will represent our growing appliance program and Design Center while helping expand Mill Creek's presence in the builder, designer, luxury residential, and commercial markets.
Key ResponsibilitiesRelationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with builders, designers, architects, and homeowners to drive repeat business and referrals
- Represent the Mill Creek brand with professionalism, warmth, and follow-through in every interaction
- Serve as a dependable resource for customers throughout the sales process, providing support from product selection through project completion.
- Serve as sales contact for walk-in and appointment-based clients at the Design Center
- Educate customers on product options (fireplaces, doors, windows, trim, and other Mill Creek offerings) and guide them through the selection and purchase process
- Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding project goals and ensuring product recommendations align with design vision and functional needs
- Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to ensure smooth handoffs, quote follow-ups, and project coordination
- Assist in tracking orders, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure customer satisfaction and timely execution
- Prepare sales documents, quotes, and presentations as needed to support sales efforts
- Build relationships with new and existing clients, including custom builders, commercial developers, and design professionals
- Represent the Mill Creek brand at networking events, job site visits, and product showcases
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Architects and Designers regarding Mill Creek product offerings and services
- Support marketing efforts by gathering testimonials, taking project photos, and promoting success stories
- Conduct job site visits to gather project measurements, verify conditions, and confirm installation details when necessary
- Coordinate with the service and installation teams to communicate customer needs and ensure accuracy
- Proven experience in sales, showroom consultation, or account management (building materials industry preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of doors, windows, fireplaces, and trim products a plus
- Proficient in CRM systems, quoting tools, and basic office technology
- Comfortable traveling to local job sites as needed (valid driver's license required)
