READI GOV seeks an experienced Historic Preservation Consultant to research, coordinate, and prepare key components of a Historic Landmark located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. The consultant will address national significance under NHL Criterion 1 and will be prepared in accordance with NHL and National Register () guidelines, including photographs, maps, and GIS data.
Responsibilities- Conduct archival research, historical analysis, and context development supporting NHL Criterion 1 significance for the Threatt Filling Station.
- Coordinate collaboration with NPS staff, historians, and other stakeholders to assemble nomination package components.
- Create and organize nomination documentation, including narrative sections, significance statements, property description, and boundary justification.
- Prepare high-quality photographs, mapping, and GIS data to meet NHL/.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Historic Preservation, Architecture, History, Anthropology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience preparing NHL and/or packages, with a track record of successful nominations preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and project-management skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage complex deliverables.
- Proficiency in GIS and historical mapping; experience with archival research and primary source analysis.
- Knowledge of National Park Service guidelines for NHL and s.
- Ability to work within a government procurement framework (FAR Part 13) and deliver within project timelines.
- Contract engagement with a mission-driven project supporting preservation of nationally significant heritage.
- Flexible work arrangements with on-site coordination in Oklahoma County as needed.
