Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

    High School Diploma
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Licensure:
    Valid State drivers license, Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required
  • Experience:

    Meets or surpasses all requirements of Public Safety Officer IV
  • Annual satisfactory completion of Functional Job Screening
  • Other Skills and Knowledge:
    • Has completed at least 24 months of active employment with Mercy Public Safety/Security Department (Or equivalent training, education and/or job experience)
    • Has completed CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) course or equivalent
    • Supervises officers, processes or programs as directed by the Public Safety Coordinator, Manager or Director (including but not limited to):
      • Shift Supervisor
      • Safety program
      • Emergency Management Program
      • Armorer/Firearms Instructor
      • Omnigo report system
      • Property management
      • Access control system
      • Surveillance System
    • Completes Coaching for Growth LEAD
      129 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes Coaching for Performance Improvement LEAD
      147 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes Inclusive Leadership LEAD
      204 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes specialized training regarding program or process which is being supervised (within 180 days of advancement) (If classes above are changed or discontinued class of equivalent nature maybe substituted)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education:

    College degree
  • Licensure:
    Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required
  • Experience:

    Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience
  • Other Skills and Knowledge:
    Completes IAHSS Basic Training and Certification Program (within 12 months of advancement)
