• Education:
  • High School Diploma
  • 18 years of age or older
• Licensure:
  • Valid State driver’s license
  • Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required
• Experience:
  • Meets or surpasses all requirements of Public Safety Officer IV
  • Annual satisfactory completion of Functional Job Screening
  • Certification/Registration:
    • N/A
  • Other Skills and Knowledge:
    • Has completed at least 24 months of active employment with Mercy Public Safety/Security Department (Or equivalent training, education and/or job experience)
    • Has completed CIT (Crisis Intervention Training) course or equivalent
    • Supervises officers, processes or programs as directed by the Public Safety Coordinator, Manager or Director (including but not limited to)
      • Shift Supervisor
      • Safety program
      • Emergency Management Program
      • Armorer/Firearms Instructor
      • Omni Go report system
      • Property management
      • Access control system
      • Surveillance System
    • Completes Coaching for Growth LEAD
      129 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes Coaching for Performance Improvement LEAD
      147 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes Inclusive Leadership LEAD
      204 (within 90 days of advancement)
    • Completes specialized training regarding program or process which is being supervised (within 180 days of advancement)
    • (If classes above are changed or discontinued class of equivalent nature maybe substituted)
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Education:
    • College degree
  • Licensure:
    • Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience
  • Certification/Registration:
    • N/A
  • Other Skills and Knowledge:
    • Completes IAHSS Basic Training and Certification Program (within 12 months of advancement)
