Security Officer

Essential duties and responsibilities include standing guard during events, touring the post periodically to ensure safety, handling disturbances, writing incident reports, monitoring surveillance equipment, prioritizing safety incidents, answering phone lines, inspecting alarms and fire systems, establishing working relationships, touring the facility, assisting with crowd control, controlling emergencies, operating the command center, maintaining a professional appearance, completing shift assignments, being courteous, projecting a professional attitude, and maintaining business ethics.

Supervisory responsibilities include limited supervision and temporary supervisory duties in accordance with Legends Global policies.

Qualifications include being 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or GED equivalent, previous security experience preferred, effective communication skills, conflict handling, knowledge of security guidelines, and physical ability to operate security equipment.

Physical demands include sitting and walking for long hours, lifting objects, operating security equipment, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Computer skills include proficiency in operating computers and security monitors, and using Windows and Microsoft Office.

Hours of work and travel requirements include negligible travel, varying shifts including weekends and overnights, and extended or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
