This position is responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining HVAC mechanical, electrical, and ventilation systems; handles the maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, and operation of the College facilities including an aquatic facility; works on all associated piping, valves, controls, etc.; performs work on all associated electrical switch‑gear and electrical distribution systems; and may work on associated heating/air conditioning/ventilation systems and the facility structure and roofing systems.

- High school diploma/ GED
- 1 year of commercial HVAC work experience
- State Licensed Mechanical Journeyman; EPA Refrigerant Certification – Minimum Type II Category (Applicants must attach a copy of license and certification).
- Basic systems theory and operation including electrical, mechanical, construction, and heating/air conditioning/ventilation systems.
- Trane Tracer Summit energy management system (or other comparable systems).
- Microsoft Windows computer operating systems.
- Operation and maintenance of a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems including reciprocal, screw, and centrifugal water chillers, package units, applied air handling units, fan coil units, evaporator coils, compressors, and refrigerant condensers.
- Communicating, both verbally and in writing.
- Deal with the coordination of efforts between departments and with outside contractors.
- Read and understand equipment instructions, operating manuals, and repair procedures.
- Completion of an HVAC Technical Trade Program.
- Hold a License by the Oklahoma State Department of Health as a Mechanical and Plumbing Contractor.
