Job DescriptionRush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our Oklahoma City service team. This role plays a vital part in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of diesel vehicles and systems. You'll work in a fast-paced, supportive environment with opportunities for continued growth and hands-on experience.
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay: $30-$50/Hr based on previous experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and vehicle systems
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
- Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines and recommendations
- Document repairs and services performed in detail
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist and mentor Level 1 mechanics as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on diesel technician experience, specifically with Class 7 and Class 8 vehicles
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
- Familiarity with diagnostic platforms and repair software
- ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Self-motivated, dependable, and professional demeanor
