Purpose Of This PositionPerfect My Home (PMH) is seeking a proactive, motivated and organized Plumber to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems within new buildings, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and valves, by reading blueprints, adhering to building codes, and collaborating with other construction professionals to ensure proper plumbing functionality throughout the building project. PMH performs many plumbing tasks in an outdoor living environment such as outdoor kitchens, running gas lines for outdoor heaters, pool heaters, and gas grills.
This position will be working in all elements of the weather.
Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installation:
- Install all types of plumbing pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to project blueprints and specifications.
- Lay out and install drainage systems, including sewer lines and vents.
- Install water supply lines, including hot and cold water systems.
- Install appliances like toilets, sinks, faucets, and water heaters.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Troubleshoot and repair leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues.
- Inspect plumbing systems for potential problems and perform preventative maintenance.
- Replace worn or damaged plumbing components.
- Blueprint Reading and Code Compliance:
- Accurately read and interpret construction blueprints to locate pipe runs and fixture placement.
- Follow all local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other construction trades like electricians, framers, and drywallers to ensure proper plumbing integration.
- Work with project managers to meet deadlines and project budgets.
- Other duties may include:
- Estimating material needs and costs for plumbing projects
- Performing leak detection and pressure testing
- Maintaining tools and equipment
- Keeping accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Technical
Skills:
Proficient in cutting, threading, and joining pipes, understanding of different plumbing materials and their applications. - Problem-solving:
Ability to diagnose plumbing issues and develop effective solutions. - Physical ability:
Comfortable working in tight spaces, lifting heavy objects, and standing for extended periods. - Communication:
Clear communication with other construction professionals and clients.
- Journeyman plumber license or equivalent, preferred
- Experience in commercial or residential construction plumbing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations
A valid Oklahoma Class "D" Operator's License is required, along with the ability to drive a company-provided vehicle and be eligible for company auto insurance.
SafetyThe employee shall be knowledgeable about and follow PMH’s safety policies and procedures. This candidate role should possess or be open to ongoing training in job and service shop site safety practices. Employees should immediately report any accidents, unusual occurrences, or any other safety-related issues to the immediate supervisor.
Work EnvironmentThis position primarily takes place in a construction environment, exposing the employee to varying temperatures, including heat and cold. The employee is expected to maintain regular attendance at work and is consistently on time. Normal office hours are 7:30am – 4:30pm. Work hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as required. This includes any approved adjustments to work hours arranged for necessary outreach events.

The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Employees should use proper lifting techniques and, if necessary, seek assistance or use equipment to minimize the risk of injury. Additionally, employees should be physically capable of performing these tasks safely.
PMH offers a benefits package to include Health, Dental and Vision Insurance and Paid Time Off. The position will be considered an non‑exempt, hourly position and the pay will be based on the employee’s qualifications and experience. The minimum starting wage range is $25.00 an hour in an non‑exempt status.
