Position: Engineering Technician I (Travel) Oklahoma City, OK Posted today

Five Rivers Analytics is seeking an Engineering Technician to work in Oklahoma City, OK. The role involves troubleshooting, tear‑down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation of equipment for FAALC Product Divisions.

Responsibilities
  • NAVAID antenna and component repair and overhaul.
  • Rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting and repair.
  • Circuit board testing and repair.
  • Production and repair of electronic cables and wire harnesses; performing equipment performance analyses, and information collection and reporting.
  • Performing equipment adjustment, testing, and certification.
  • Installation of equipment and components, and modifications.
  • Installation and maintenance of NAS Radomes.
  • Structural inspection of towers and tower components at heights between 50 and 750 feet.
  • Maintenance of the inside and outside of tower structures at heights between 50 and 750 feet.
  • Installation, removal and maintenance of communication antennae, surveillance systems, safety wire, tower guy wire pull‑off shackles and tower obstruction lighting systems.
  • Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.); straight pushing and pulling; reaching above shoulders; operating crane, truck, tractor, or motor vehicle; requires use of both hands and eyes.
  • Attend all training classes to maintain knowledge of repair procedures for all systems.
  • Complete all required safety courses.
  • Support preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective maintenance (CMs) on FAA and interagency systems per local and FAA policy and procedures.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic/electro‑mechanical systems, including fault isolation and replacement of failed line replaceable units.
  • Prepare FAA and interagency assets for shipment to and from field sites, vendor locations and the FAA Logistic Center.
  • Enter time into the Data Collection and Reporting System daily to ensure timely billing of hours.
  • Keep crew leads informed of assigned tasks and status.
  • Perform tower climbing and work at heights over 50 feet.
  • Perform corrosion control and prevention.
  • Operate equipment such as boom‑man lifts and motorized forklifts.
  • Work from ropes at heights.
  • Installation of electronic and mechanical systems and components on NAS and inter‑agency systems.
  • Meet weight requirements: minimum 125 lbs. and maximum 290 lbs.
  • Travel required up to 70% and may entail emergency call-outs for corrective maintenance.
  • Assist in producing, reviewing, revising, and interpreting technical documents; assist in designing, fabricating, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, and prototypes.
  • Develop and perform equipment and component adjustment, test, and certification processes; install equipment and modifications.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED with completion of formal technical training courses.
  • Physical fitness evaluation required, including a minimum of 125 lbs. and a maximum of 290 lbs.
  • NACI clearance – ability to obtain Public Trust.
  • Estimated monthly travel of 70%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Two forms of unexpired identification to meet eligibility requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Rope‑repelling or rope work at heights.
  • Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations.
  • Experience operating boom‑man lifts and motorized forklifts.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Completion of trip reports.
