Entry Level Low Voltage Technician — Oklahoma City, OK
This contract‑to‑hire position reports to a Lead Technician and involves installing and cabling commercial security and safety systems across the OKC metroplex. The role requires running data cables, configuring access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems, and ensuring all installations meet industry standards and client specifications. Occasional travel to job sites may be required. Per diem and hotel accommodations are provided.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Technician in installing and cabling security and safety devices.
- Run data cables to connect various systems, ensuring neat and efficient setups.
- Install and configure commercial access control systems, CCTV cameras, intrusion detection systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Experience with Cat6, Cat5, wiring, punchdown, cable termination testing, copper and fiber optic cable.
- Knowledge of alarm systems, security alarm systems, fire alarm systems, access control, and CCTV.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and take direction.
- Occasional travel availability.
Pay range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour. This is a temporary contract‑to‑hire position.
