Firestop Installer – Chaparral Company

- Installs caulking at penetrations and joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using ‘sausage’ packs, or standard tubes.
- Inspects work to ensure installation meets UL design specifications.
- Reads blueprints and life‑safety drawings.
- Accesses penetrations and joints, which may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stages, scaffolds, and ladders.
- Performs physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, talking, and hearing.
- Lifts and/or moves up to 15 pounds regularly and frequently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Past firestop experience preferred.
- Dependable transportation, ability to travel out of town for both overnight and one‑day trips.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
