Security Service Install Specialist; Access Control & Video

Job Description

A team in OKC is seeking two Security Service Specialists to support existing customer security systems across Oklahoma City. This role is focused on MAC work (Moves, Adds, Changes) within access control and video environments — including adding cameras, modifying access points, and upgrading existing systems.

This is a service-oriented installation role, where technicians will work within live environments to make incremental improvements and system changes rather than performing full ground-up installations.

This is ideal for a technician who enjoys working hands‑on, improving existing systems, and managing small jobs independently in the field.

• Perform MAC work (Moves, Adds, Changes) on existing access control and video systems
• Add cameras and expand functionality within existing systems and infrastructure
• Modify and enhance access control systems (doors, readers, controllers, credentials)
• Complete small‑scale installation work within live environments (not new construction)
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues as needed
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades
• Handle small jobs from scope through completion
• Document all work performed, system changes, and service notes
• Provide a strong customer‑facing experience while onsite

• 2+ years of experience supporting electronic security systems (access control, CCTV, or low‑voltage systems)
• Experience working on existing/live systems (MAC work, upgrades, service‑oriented installs)
• Ability to work independently as a self‑starter in the field
• Solid technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable managing multiple service tickets and small jobs simultaneously
• Strong customer communication and professionalism onsite
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally in the OKC area

• Strong experience working on existing systems (MAC work)
• Someone who can handle adds, changes, and upgrades independently
• Reliable, accountable, and comfortable working directly with customers
• Able to operate in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities

• Experience in a service + light installation technician role (vs full install crews)
• Knowledge of basic networking (IP cameras, connectivity troubleshooting)
• Experience with low‑voltage cabling in existing systems
• Security or low‑voltage certifications (or willingness to obtain)
