HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician
As a Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician at Comfort Wave Home Services, you will perform routine maintenance, system inspections, and minor repairs to keep our customers’ heating and cooling systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably throughout the year.
Responsibilities- Replace HVAC equipment such as ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits, rooftop package units.
- Maintain a company vehicle in good working order.
- Keep track of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
- Travel to job sites in the service area, coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays.
- Engage homeowners to uncover system concerns that could lead to accessory sales or new system replacements.
- Understand company pricing, generate invoices, process credit card payments electronically.
- Participate in company‑provided training on customer service and industry technologies.
- HVAC Apprentice license preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old to meet driving‑insurability requirements; candidates 19 or older may be considered with a clean driving record.
- 2+ years experience in HVAC, knowledge in refrigeration, diagnosis, and replacement of HVAC components.
- Type II EPA certification.
- Excellent customer‑service skills and a strong desire to exceed expectations.
- Minimum tool requirements: basic hand tools, sheet‑metal/duct tools, hammer.
- Ability to use refrigerant gauges, manometer, Magnahelic, C/O detector, psychrometer, micron gauge.
- Working knowledge of city codes.
- Ability to work independently and complete work correctly the first time.
- Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.
