Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install fire sprinkler systems; maintain piping systems, fixtures, sprinklers, and industrial processing systems.
- Install pipe systems and valves.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and bond piping and tubes according to specifications.
- Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, and fittings.
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
- Mentor and coach Fire Sprinkler Fitter apprentices and helpers on proper installation techniques and company policies.
- Advanced technical school training or related work experience (preferred).
- Current Fire Sprinkler License (required).
- 3–5 years experience installing pipe systems and valves (required).
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, customer service skills, decision‑making skills, ability to multitask, and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with employees and customers.
- Ability to operate a computer or tablet and read electronic blueprints.
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy and background‑screening requirements.
- Frequent local travel and occasional regional and non‑regional travel.
- Exposure to fumes, odors, electrical hazards, chemicals, moving machinery, uneven surfaces; must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by safety policies.
