Field Diesel Mechanic (Service TechIV – Field Service)
As a Field Diesel Mechanic you will perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while exercising a high degree of independent judgment.
- Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer‑owned equipment and keep the service vehicle clean and professional.
- Assist in training lower‑level technicians as needed.
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
- Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment & parts.
- Perform other duties assigned as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Ownership of tools applicable to the position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45lbs.
